This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who would enjoy being part of a local media organization helping to produce the important journalism that our community relies upon.
In this role, you'll help the managing editor run our news operation in a variety of ways.
We are looking for someone who is smart, energetic, flexible, and willing to do whatever it takes to help the Standard live up to its reputation as the best small weekly newspaper in New England.
We seek locally-based applicants who have good writing and editing skills and a sharp eye for detail.
Experience with photography and/or managing websites is a big plus.
You must be very comfortable with basic office technology and software, a creative and critical thinker, and a really good communicator.
Outstanding organizational skills are a must.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
